“With much pride I have been elected to be the new President of Manly Roos. It is both an honour and a privilege to be leading this great rugby club which comprises such great children and families. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Josh Dowse for all of the work he has done over at least the last 10 years to create a club that is functioning smoothly and is the envy of many others. Josh has served numerous roles over the years including eight years as a coach, Vice President Juniors, Secretary and finally President. On behalf of the entire club I express our thanks to Josh for all the work he has done to put the club in the position that it is in.
I look forward to building on the legacy of Josh and Stu and other former presidents, and getting to know all of you further over the coming season. As most of you know, the Roos is effectively only involved in Under 6s to Under 12s. As such, the committee should reflect that but currently it does not. Myself and the committee would appreciate any further input from any parents who would like to become involved or provide any thoughts and ideas as to how we can improve the club and make it a better experience for not only the kids but also for the parents and families.
