Welcome to 2017. The MRJU Summer 7s have been a great way of kicking off the season. MJRU is inviting all clubs to take part in the 2017 Summer Sevens Comp, where there is fast paced action on the field with a friendly summer BBQ feel on the sideline.

Competition Dates
- Under 10 + girls – Friday 17th February 4:40pm to 8:00pm. First games kick off at 5:00pm, final kicks off at 7:20pm
- Under 11 – Saturday 11th February 4:40 to 8:00. First games kick off at 5:00pm, final kicks off at 7:20pm.
- Under 12 – Saturday 18th February 4:30 to 7:00. First games kick off at 5:00pm, final kicks off at 6:20pm.
All games will be held at Forest Rugby Complex, Melwood Oval, (War Memorial Playing Fields, 24 Melwood Road, Forestville).
The Competition
- The competition rules and draw will be available online once we have confirmed teams.
- All games are played cross field.
- All games are two 7 minute halves with a 1 minute half time.
- The Final will be 10 minute halves with a 2 minute half time.
- A maximum of 16 teams in each age group.
- Teams are a maximum of 12 players.
- Qualified referees at all games.
- First Aid staff at all games.
- Player insurance is covered in the fees.
- Championship winners receive the perpetual trophy.
- Finalists each receive a medal.
