While it’s not a “Polar Vortex” like last year – its little brother the “east coast low” has hit weekend rugby… with Sunday’s Round 8 SJRU rounds Abandoned. The only things enjoying KP this weekend were ducks and seagulls.
Wet Weather Policy
While on the topic, a timely reminder of the SJRU wet weather policy:
- Club contacts will be notified as soon as the SJRU are informed of any ground closures.
- If the opposition ground is open and available then the game should be moved to that venue.
- The round or competition may not be abandoned if at least 50% games go ahead.
- No decision regarding abandonment of the round or competition will be made early.
- Ensure that teams have contact details for parents so that notification can be made quickly.
- Individual teams should make direct contact with their opposition team to confirm.
