Thanks to all the boys and girls who made it to last week’s first Manly Roos Primary School Gala Day. See the article in the Manly Daily “The next wave of Michael Hoopers make a big splash in sevens rugby” Manly Daily Story, and the ARU video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E22OKfxfa-c
In spite of a second Friday in a row of storms, the games went ahead and everyone had a great time. It was the culmination of a five week program where students from St Mary’s Manly, Manly Vale and Manly West public schools were taught the basics of rugby. “The weather did affect the numbers we would have got but it was still a great success”, an ARU spokesman said. The club also took its first registrations for the 2016 season.
