I feel that my expiry date is well and truly due!! \u00a0I have had a fantastic time with the Roos and will still be around to help on the BBQ as my son Sam\u00a0is still playing the U11s.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->There are too many people to thank, but to all past and present Committee members, Mums and\u00a0Dads, thank you all. I have had many memorable times with the Roos, especially\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The 50th year dinner<\/li>\n<li>The U11\u2019s State Titles that we hosted in 2011, 2012 and 2013<\/li>\n<li>The Adults Only night at the Manly Skiff Club and DY RSL<\/li>\n<li>The impromptu drinks on the Roos balcony with the hard working Roos workers after a\u00a0long day at Keirle Park!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I wish Josh and the Committee all the best for the future, but as I have stated before, the Roos need\u00a0more help from, all the age groups to maintain our wonderful tradition.\u00a0The Roos have produced 6 Wallabies in our 50 years (more than any Junior Rugby club in the nation)\u00a0and I can see many more to come. I am so proud of current and former Roos who have gone on to\u00a0become Prefects and School Captains in their senior years\u2019 at High School. . I believe it is a\u00a0testament to the Roos culture that we have such fine young men becoming leaders.<\/p>\n<p>I would also like to thank my wife Deb and family for their commitment to the Roos and for putting\u00a0up with my sometimes annoying behaviour!!<\/p>\n<p>Finally, thank you ALL for all your hard work in making the Roos a truly great rugby club.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GOODBYE, FAREWELL and ADIEU To all the wonderful Roos people it is time after almost 6 years for me to call it a day as your\u00a0President.
