Click here for the reasons why playing rugby is a uniquely wonderful experience for your child. Note also that we are a volunteer-run club, in keeping with the best of club rugby cultures, with opportunities to get involved in many ways. And we have a Manly Roos Club Charter that helps all players and parents/guardians enjoy the experience.
If you need more information on registrations, please email the Club Registrar at email@example.com or see club contacts for specific age groups and teams, please contact our age coordinators.
Rugby union remains the best value of all winter activities, offering more and costing less. Our 2019 fees remain the same as 2018 and include comprehensive ARU insurance, the new council ground fees, competition fees, coaching and playing gear. All you need to add are boots and mouthguard:
U6 – $100
U7 – $120
U8 to U9 – $170
U10 to Opens – $180
Playing age groups are determined by the player’s year of birth. It is possible to play up a year, but generally not possible to play down a age group (unless dispensation is given for height / weight by the governing body).

Season Dates (Juniors)
Junior Games start late March / early April. Training usually starts 4 weeks before the start of the season. The season runs through until late August.
There are many reasons for players to change clubs. However, there are competition rules which restrict some transfers. Please contact the club to ask about transferring to the Roos.
Clubs are permitted two imported Representative and/or Development Players from another Club, per age group in a single season. For each representative player over two imported players, competition points will be deducted at the discretion of the Competition Manager and SJRU Board.
